GeoLang partners with iCyber-Security Group to provide Data Loss Prevention and Classification Technologies
GeoLang today announces a partnership with specialist application security consultancy, trainer and reseller iCyber-Security Group to help companies secure their high value and sensitive data. The deal will see the company adding GeoLang’s Ascema Platform into the portfolio of products it offers to organisations across a variety of sectors.
According to a PWC report (2016) 90% of large companies and 74% of small companies suffered a data breach in the preceding year. A further report by IBM’s Ponemon Institute (2016) put Insider Threat as the main risk to today’s enterprise. As more companies deploy cloud based services, the ability for enterprises to know where their data resides and to be able to protect it is paramount – and the need is growing fast, driven by the potential for monetary penalties under the new UK Data Protection Act and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation – both coming into force in May 2018. GeoLang’s Ascema platform can detect where high value data, such as unstructured IP, PCI and GDPR, resides within File Servers and Endpoints, and also protect and remediate on this data as it flows around enterprise authorized applications on premise and in the cloud. With its roots within a UK based intelligence agency, Ascema’s patented secret search capability means your highly sensitive data is neither stored or shared in order to be able to detect and protect it – cloud deployment is perfectly safe and the solution scales. Ascema’s machine learning algorithms make easy work of the automated classification features that allow the enterprise to easily establish a set of policies that work on pre-existing enterprise templates – ensuring that digital transformation processes are conducted safely and securely with minimal fuss. Ascema’s connector driven SaaS model makes DLP and Classification accessible to SMEs whilst also adding value to the traditional DLP solutions currently deployed by global enterprises. With a broad range of connectors available for eMail, File Server, Endpoint, Word, O365, Exchange, SharePoint, Google Drive, Gmail, Alfresco and Box, a modular approach can be taken in the development and deployment of data protection strategies across the business.
The deal will combine GeoLang’s Ascema portfolio of information access and security solutions with iCyber-Security Group’s specialized services, which sees over 30 specialist consultants offering regular training, audits, deployments and boot camps, to help address these pressing issues. The technology will allow customers to benefit from true machine learning to proactively identify, detect, protect, remediate and report on high value and sensitive information and the SaaS business model makes it accessible to organisations of any size.
GeoLang’s CEO, Dr Debbie Garside said, “We are thrilled to be partnering with the team at iCyber-Security Group.
